Event Details
The board of GEORG – Geothermal Research Cluster, invites you to an extraordinary meeting of the association on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 09:30 – 11:00. The meeting will be held at Gróska, Bjargargata 1, 102 Reykjavík.
The meeting is called in accordance with the association’s articles of association. It aims to provide member associations with a clear and formal platform for discussion and decision-making on the future structure of cluster cooperation.
The meeting’s agenda includes one main issue: taking a formal position on a proposal to merge with other associations operating in a similar field, to create a powerful platform that combines the strengths of different parties.
If the merger proposal is approved, a proposal for limited and simple changes to GEORG’s articles of association will be submitted. The changes are aimed at ensuring the association’s efficient operation until the merger process is completed and the association is formally dissolved.
A formal agenda, reports, and other supporting documents will be sent to member associations in advance of the meeting.
We kindly ask you to register for the meeting here before the end of the day on January 9, 2026:
