13- 14 October 2026 Knowledge Sharing Workshop 2026. Delft, the Netherlands

Part of Geothermal Innovation Days programme – See details and register here

We are delighted to invite you to the next round of Knowledge Sharing Workshop 2026,  a dedicated two-day event bringing together all 37 funded projects from the GEOTHERMICA and JPP SES Joint Call 2021, and the CETPartnership TRI4 Heating and Cooling (TRI4 H&C) Calls 2022, 2023, and 2024. This workshop is a unique opportunity to share results and progress, strengthen connections across the combined portfolio, and generate the cross-project insights needed to accelerate Europe’s transition to climate-neutral heating and cooling. Workshop objectives: -Share results, mid-project progress, and kickoff plans across all 37 funded projects, -Facilitate cross-call learning between mature GEOTHERMICA & JPP SES projects and CETPartnership TRI4 H&C projects, -Showcase the combined portfolio to policy stakeholders, invited experts, and potential follow-on call partners, -Collect lessons learned from JC 2021 to inform CETPartnership implementation and future joint call design, -Strengthen transnational collaboration across GEOTHERMICA, CETPartnership, and SES consortia and member countries.

Agenda:

Day 1 will bring together the CETPartnership and GEOTHERMICA Initiative project portfolios for knowledge exchange, technical discussions and networking. The programme will include plenary and parallel sessions covering geothermal drilling, smart heating and cooling, underground thermal energy storage (UTES), district heating demonstrations, industrial heat, heat pumps, solar thermal energy and integrated energy systems.Cross-cutting discussions will address policy relevance, market uptake, project synergies, and lessons for future funding calls. The afternoon will feature a dedicated geothermal session, followed by an evening networking reception and poster session showcasing CETPartnership Joint Call 2024 projects.

Day 2 will focus on strengthening project impact, collaboration and the practical use of research results. The morning programme will feature short presentations from CETPartnership Joint Call 2024 projects, followed by a special interactive Impact and Exploitation Session led by Tanja Suni, Head of System Transition and Impact at CETPartnership. The session will explore how project results can support market uptake, stakeholder engagement, policy development and future funding calls.
