The 7th European Geothermal Phd Day was held from 24 to 26 of February, 2016 and hosted by the Department of Earth and Geo-environmental Science, at the University of Bari.

The aim of the conference is to bring together young scientists from different fields of geothermal energy and present their achievements followed by receiving constructive feedback and revisit their work from diverse perspective.

Conference day began with welcome presentation of EGPD BoarD and followed by keynote speakers:

  1. David Bruhn, Delft University of Technology, GFZ, Member of EERA
  2. Prof. Bruno Della Vedova-University of Trieste, Italy
  3. Dott. Paolo Conti, member of UGI and
  4. Fausto Batini- CEO at Magma Energy Italia

Afterwards, students had opportunity to present their work both as oral presentations and in the poster session.

However, as the conference end, we at GEORG received great news from one of our supported students, Thecla Munanie Mutia. She has received the Best Poster Award from EGPD 2016!!!
